In this 84-week program, students learn to use specialized equipment and are prepared for immediate entry-level positions in the field through a combination of coursework, clinical labs, and access to the innovative SonoSim training technology. Ultrasound Technicians are trained medical professionals who specialize in using this sophisticated equipment. Also known as digital medical sonography, ultrasound technology is used in healthcare to produce images of internal organs, soft tissue, and blood vessels, as well as to observe developing fetuses in the womb. At Central Coast College, our Ultrasound Technician program provides the critical theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on skills students need to be successful in this rapidly growing field. ![]()
